An island lost for a century
Rilao is a city spread across many islands, in an atoll that is part of a remote and hidden archipelago that for close to one hundred years has been kept in isolation. For the first time since its founding, the island was revealed to the world in 2014. The Museum aims to document its culture and history.
Curated by individuals or collaborators, each exhibit contributes new insight into the world of Rilao and is categorized by year, institution and topic. There are currently 58 exhibits on display.

Rilao is divided into nine districts, each with its own mythos. The map visualizes these geographical and political differences, and contextualizes many references made to Rilao in exhibits or cyclopedia entries.
The Rilao Remote Viewing Protocol Game is a guide to viewing Rilao during five different time periods. The game was used during the Science of Fiction; its output is stored in the Cyclopedia. Although originally an analog game, it has since been adapted into a virtual version.
