Since its founding, Rilao has embodied various architectural styles. The predominant, though not always profound, characteristic of most structures is their engineering.
A series of ubiquitous observation pavilions overlook different parts of the city and epitomizes the distinct feel of Rilao. The structures are comprised of algorithmic, mathematical and machinist procedures developed to update the current urban structures. Data is collected from inhabitants who want to participate in designing the future Rilao by implementing and morphing its virtual representation. Actual construction relies mostly on robotic fabrication.
