Rilaoan detective Ryan Strand is investigating a spike in suicides afflicting the generation born the 1980s. He finds one thread that connects all the victims: in the days before their death they each complained of horrific night terrors. Using an experimental brain imaging technique, he analyzes the dreams of three sufferers simultaneously as they appear on separate screens.
As the haunting images flicker by, some evidently conjured from the past, the shadowy form of a Plague Doctor steps out of the screen to stalk new victims. Strand suspects that the trauma of the Plague has become hereditary.
